Axisflying Manta5 SE V2 is a 5" freestyle drone with a good price/performance ratio. The drone is in a Squashed X configuration, providing a flight behavior close to the classic X frame, and the arms offer better camera protection during frontal impacts than a Deadcat frame. The drone includes a 3D-printed mount for attaching a GoPro camera and a GPS module, which is hidden under the GoPro mount. The GPS allows for automatic return to the launch point and displays speed, distance, and direction to the launch point in the FPV image. The second version of the drone features plastic side panels that protect the electronics from dirt. The arms are milled from 5.5 mm thick carbon for higher durability. The FPV camera is mounted in aluminum side panels using rubber inserts that minimize vibration transfer.
The propulsion is provided by AE2207 V2 1960KV motors and 60A ESCs with 32-bit firmware. The flight controller uses an F722 processor and ICM42688P gyro. It also has 16 MB of blackbox memory and an integrated barometer for altitude measurement.
The image transmission is handled by an analog camera with a resolution of 1200TVL combined with an Axisflying Smurfs V2 video transmitter with an output power of up to 1.6 W. The drone is equipped with an ELRS receiver on a frequency of 2.4 GHz.
Recommended batteries are 6S with a capacity of 1050–1550mAh.
