Axisflying VERTEX5 DC

Axisflying VERTEX5 DC is a 5" freestyle frame with a fully enclosed body, designed for the digital video transmission systems DJI O4 Pro and DJI O4 Wide. The DC designation means a Deadcat configuration — the front arms are spread wider apart than the rear ones, so the propellers do not enter the camera view. This makes the frame suitable not only for freestyle, but also for cinematic flying and action camera filming. The diagonal motor distance is 224mm, the frame fits 5.1" propellers and weighs 198g.

The construction combines coated T700 carbon with CNC-machined parts from anodized 7075 aluminum. The arms are made of 5mm carbon and are widened, which helps distribute impact forces through the structure instead of concentrating them in one spot. The bottom plate is 3mm thick, the middle and top plates are 2mm. The sides of the body are enclosed by shaped side plates that protect the electronics from dirt and impacts. The side plates have a quick-release system — after loosening the screws, they can be removed and the electronics are accessible without disassembling the entire frame.

The stack mounts on a 20x20mm M3 pattern, with 20mm of height available. The frame provides 47x33x10mm of space for the flight controller and 47x40x8mm for the ESC. Actual compatibility depends on solder joint height and cable routing. The motors mount on a 16x16mm M3 pattern, and the motor wires run along the arms in aluminum guides that protect them from damage. The video transmitter mounts on the rear CNC aluminum heatsink with a 25,5x25,5mm M2 pattern. The heatsink with large fins dissipates heat from the transmitter while also stiffening the rear part of the frame. A camera with a width of 20mm fits between the aluminum side plates, which also protect the lens in a crash. The USB port, SD card slot and BOOT button remain freely accessible after assembly.

The battery is secured with a quick-release system. The battery with the quick-release plate slides onto the top plate and locks in place with a latch, so it sits in the same position on every flight and the weight distribution does not change. The package includes three quick-release plates with anti-slip pads. Classic lipo strap mounting remains available. The kit also includes receiver, foldable GPS module, antenna and GoPro mounts made from injection-molded plastic, landing feet, a buzzer and a COB LED that shines through translucent windows on the underside of the frame.
