DarwinFPV TinyApe is a 2.5" carbon frame with a motor diagonal distance of 108 mm, suitable for building a lightweight freestyle drone. This is the analog version of the frame, which is not suitable for digital FPV systems. The design is a wide X with arms spread outward. The bottom plate is a single piece including the arms and is made of 2 mm carbon; reinforcements between the arms at the front and rear increase rigidity and crash resistance. The top plate and the camera side plate are also 2 mm.
The bottom plate has mounting holes of 25.5 x 25.5 mm for the AIO board, and the stack height is 15 mm. The frame does not have separate mounting holes for the video transmitter. It is therefore intended for an AIO board with an integrated video transmitter or a separate transmitter board mounted above the AIO. The frame accommodates a 14 mm camera size, i.e. a nano format. Motors are mounted using 8.5 mm M1.6 mounting holes. The manufacturer recommends 1002-1305 sizes and Gemfan 2512-3 propellers.
