EByte E22-900T30D is a wireless LoRa module based on the SX1262 chip. The module is suitable for long-distance bidirectional data transmission. It operates in the 850–930 MHz band and communicates via a serial UART TTL interface with a 3.3 V level. Transmit power reaches up to 30 dBm (1 W) and the air data rate is adjustable in the range of 2.4 to 62.5 kbps.
The module is intended for connection to another microprocessor, but after configuration it can also be connected directly to a flight controller. For direct use with a flight controller, transparent transmission can be used, where the module behaves as a UART tunnel for any protocol such as MSP or Mavlink (transparent mode – M0 and M1 grounded). For more advanced use with another microprocessor in DIY projects, targeted transmission to a specific address and channel can be used, allowing multiple separate networks to operate in one band. The module also supports automatic relay for multi-hop repeat and extended range, LBT (listen before transmit), RSSI signal strength indication, and communication key encryption.
M0/M1 pins switch four operating modes: Normal (transparent transmit and receive), WOR with remote wake-up over the air for power saving, Configuration for setting parameters, and deep sleep with consumption of only 3 µA. In configuration mode, the module is set using serial commands – it supports both HEX commands (register write and read) and AT commands; parameters can also be changed wirelessly remotely. Modes can be switched hardware-wise by the M0/M1 pins, or software-wise by the AT+MODE command. Configuration can also be done via PC using a simple configurator. A TTL-USB converter is required for PC configuration.
