FlyingRC ELRS 2.4G True Diversity TCXO

FlyingRC ELRS 2.4G True Diversity is a miniature receiver for the ExpressLRS system on the 2.4 GHz band with true diversity, suitable for racing and freestyle drones. The receiver features true diversity — two antennas and two separate chips.

The receiver is built on a combination of ESP32-PICO-D4 and a pair of Semtech SX1281 radio chips. Each receiving path has its own PA+LNA — a power amplifier and low-noise amplifier. Thanks to this, it reaches telemetry power up to 100 mW, so data from the model gets back to the transmitter even over longer distances, while also better processing weak received signals before they enter the radio chip. It supports refresh rates in the range of 50-1000 Hz and, in addition to standard LoRa speeds, also supports FLRC modes (F1000, F500) and DVDA (D500, D250). It includes a TCXO — a temperature-compensated crystal that keeps the oscillator frequency stable even with temperature swings, so the link remains stable in freezing conditions and after the model heats up.

The package includes two 9 cm T-antennas, which connect via IPEX1 connectors. We recommend placing the antennas perpendicular to each other and away from carbon parts, the battery and power cables — otherwise the advantage of two receiving paths is lost. The receiver is connected to the flight controller using the included cable with a SH1.0 connector (5 V, GND, TX, RX), or it can be soldered to the R, T, 5 V and G pads on the edge of the board. Input voltage is 5 V, the board measures 22,77 x 15,24 x 5,49 mm and weighs 1,7 g.
