HGLRC Omni RHCP/LHCP 150mm SMA is an omnidirectional antenna with RHCP or LHCP circular polarization (depending on the variant), an SMA connector, and gain of up to 5.2dBi for the 4.9-6.2GHz band. With a total length of 150mm and a weight of 11.2g, it is suitable for video transmitters with an SMA connector on freestyle and long-range drones, as well as for the receiver side of FPV goggles.
RHCP polarization is suitable for analog video transmission or HDZero. LHCP polarization is used with DJI and Walksnail digital systems. Both variants have the same SMA connector (male) and differ only in polarization direction, so the same polarization must be selected on both the transmitting and receiving sides.
The antenna is wideband and covers a continuous 4900-6200MHz range without restriction to individual channels. In addition to standard 5.8GHz channels, it can also be used with X-Band/L-Band transmitters and higher frequencies around 6GHz. The radiation pattern is uniform, so the signal remains stable even during sideways flight, turns, and circling around an object. The manufacturer tested it in an anechoic chamber at several frequencies; the average efficiency reaches 68%.
A standing wave ratio (VSWR) of up to 1.8 means that only a small portion of power is reflected from the antenna back to the video transmitter. This reduces transmitter heating and extends its service life. The antenna body is made of ABS plastic with a copper radiator. The manufacturer subjected the antenna to vibration, drop, aging, and temperature tests from -40 to 80°C.
