Ideale Diode 15A

An ideal diode is an electronic circuit that allows current to flow only in one direction. It is placed on the positive lead of the battery and prevents current from flowing back into the battery. This is particularly useful for parallel battery connections. When two batteries with different voltages are connected in parallel, the one with the higher voltage may begin charging the lower one with uncontrolled current. An ideal diode prevents this, ensuring safe parallel connections even when there are voltage differences.

Compared to a regular diode, an "ideal diode" has a lower voltage drop, allowing it to handle higher currents. This version can handle 15A without a heatsink, and up to 30A continuously with an external heatsink and active cooling.

An ideal diode is essential if your drone requires hot-swapping of batteries—changing batteries without shutting down the drone. This is critical for cinema drones, where the main flight battery often also powers the camera. The 15A variant is suitable for smaller 2–3" drones, powering film equipment, or as a secondary service connector for connecting a smaller battery that keeps the drone powered during the main battery swap (the service battery must have a lower voltage than the main one).
