iFlight Borg G4 1S AIO is an AIO board combining a flight controller, 12A ESCs and an ELRS receiver. The board is suitable for whoops and micro drones powered by a 1S LiPo battery. It also supports LiHV batteries. It includes an OSD chip for analog video and also supports DJI, HDZero and Walksnail digital video transmission, making it suitable for both analog and digital whoops.
The flight controller is based on an STM32G473 processor combined with an ICM42688 gyroscope. According to the manufacturer, the G4 processor has 55% higher processing performance than the F411 commonly used in 1S AIO boards. The board features 16MB memory for blackbox and an AT7456E OSD chip for analog video. There are 4 UARTs available: UART3 is internally connected to the receiver, UART2 is free for a GPS module or other peripherals, and UART4 is dedicated to the digital video transmitter. Peripherals and the video transmitter are powered by a 5V/3A BEC. The video transmitter connects via a 6-pin connector. The board supports DJI MSP, SmartAudio, IRC Tramp and HDZero protocols and has an output for an LED strip. The board does not have a barometer, I2C pads or a buzzer.
The integrated ELRS receiver operates at 2.4GHz and is based on ESP8285 and SX1280 chips. The receiver has a TCXO, a temperature-compensated crystal for stable frequency, and an LNA receive amplifier. Telemetry power is 100mW. Unlike SPI receivers, it is a full-featured receiver connected via UART. It has its own iFlight 2.4GHz RX firmware, which is updated separately, for example via Wi-Fi. The antenna is an SMD antenna mounted directly on the board; the board has no connector for an external antenna. The integrated receiver can be disconnected by opening the jumper on the board and replaced with an external receiver.
The ESCs are based on an EFM8BB51 chip and use Bluejay firmware. The firmware supports bidirectional DShot and therefore RPM filtering in Betaflight. The ESCs can handle continuous current of 12A per channel and are suitable for 1S whoop motors in the 65–75 mm size range. They support DShot150/300/600, MultiShot and OneShot protocols. The board includes a current sensor. Motors connect via 3-pin connectors, allowing replacement without soldering.
The mounting hole spacing is 25.5x25.5mm (M3 holes for M2 softmount), board dimensions are 30x30mm and weight is 4g. USB connects via a 4-pin connector to an external adapter.
