iFlight Chimera7 – 6S ELRS mit GPS

iFlight Chimera7 ECO is a 7.5-inch long-range quadcopter suitable for longer outdoor flights. Thanks to its size, the drone is especially suitable for mountain flying or carrying a larger HD camera. The frame is in a Deadcat configuration, where the front arms are moved further to the sides and back so the propellers do not obstruct the camera's view.

The frame has a 327 mm diagonal motor-to-motor distance. The center of the frame is covered with plastic side panels that protect sensitive electronics from dirt. At the rear of the frame is a securely mounted XT60 connector, minimizing the chance of battery cables getting tangled in the motors. The drone is equipped with a long FPV antenna screwed on via an SMA connector.

Power is provided by powerful XING-E 2809 1250Kv motors with HQ 7.5×3.7×3 propellers, delivering more than enough power even when using a larger battery. The electronics are based on a BLITZ F7 V1.2 FC flight controller paired with BLITZ E55 4-IN-1 ESC speed controllers with a 55A current rating. Video transmission is handled by an analog FPV camera combined with a BLITZ Whoop 5.8G 1.6W video transmitter, with adjustable output power from 25-1600 mW. The drone comes with an ELRS receiver on the 2.4 GHz frequency. A GPS module is already installed on the drone. In the goggles, you can see information such as speed, distance from the takeoff point, total distance, and direction to the takeoff point. Betaflight also supports return to the takeoff point in case of signal loss or when commanded from the transmitter.

For regular flying, a 6S battery with a capacity of 3300 - 4500 mAh is recommended. For maximum flight time, a 6S2P LiIon battery made from 21700 cells can be used.
