iFlight Cineflow 5 is a frame designed for building a freestyle drone with the DJI O4 Pro digital system. It features plastic sidewalls that protect sensitive electronics from dust, grass, and other debris that could cause short circuits or malfunctions in the stack. These sidewalls and other plastic parts are manufactured using injection molding, providing greater durability and a better finish compared to standard 3D-printed components.
The frame includes arm end protectors, a GoPro mount, and an antenna holder. It also offers a dedicated slot for securing the XT60 connector, reducing the risk of battery wires coming into contact with the propellers. The camera is mounted in a robust aluminum cage that provides excellent protection, and it's further isolated with soft silicone dampers to reduce vibrations.
The frame uses a Deadcat layout, with front arms angled outward and slightly backward. This configuration ensures that propeller tips stay out of the camera’s field of view, which is crucial when recording high-quality 4K footage with the DJI O4 Pro.
