Kavan CA Aktivator Pro 150ml

Activator/accelerator for cyanoacrylate adhesives in an aerosol can. It is used to speed up curing of cyanoacrylate glues under conditions unfavorable for natural curing (reaction with air humidity or moisture contained in bonded parts) – such as in dry environments, in cold temperatures, when bonding inactive materials, or when applying a thick layer of adhesive. The product contains a component that activates polymerization of the adhesive, solvents, and a propellant gas (propane/butane). For this reason, it must not be used when bonding materials sensitive to organic solvents (e.g. polystyrene foam).

Application: Apply the activator from a distance of 20–25 cm to clean and dry surfaces. The optimal working temperature range is +10 °C to +30 °C. You can use one of the following two basic methods:

• Small parts: Spray the activator on one bonding surface and let it dry (it remains active for several hours). Then apply cyanoacrylate glue to the other surface and join the parts.
• Large parts: Apply cyanoacrylate glue to one surface, press the parts together, and spray the joint with the activator.

Suitable for: cyanoacrylate adhesives when bonding materials resistant to organic solvents.

Not suitable for: polystyrene foam and other materials not resistant to organic solvents or higher temperatures (during accelerated polymerization of the adhesive, a significant amount of heat may be released, heating the joint and surrounding area – the more glue applied, the higher the heat).

Storage: in a tightly closed container, in a cool, dry, and dark place (+5 °C to +25 °C). Do not expose to temperatures below +2 °C.

Shelf life: when stored correctly, guaranteed durability in unopened original packaging is 1 year while maintaining the above properties.
