OddityRC Roter Riese 800-2500mW

OddityRC Red Giant is a powerful analog video transmitter for long-range and freestyle drones. It operates in the 5.8 GHz band and offers 64 channels divided into 8 bands. This is particularly appreciated when flying in a group, where each pilot can choose their own channel without mutual interference. 

Output can be switched between PIT / 800 / 1600 / 2500mW. The PIT mode is used for minimal power transmission — ideal in the pit lane or at the start of a race, when you don't want to disturb other pilots in the air. An output of 800mW is sufficient for standard freestyle flying. 1600 and 2500mW are intended for long-range flights over extended distances. For effective cooling, the Red Giant is housed in an aluminum case with an active fan. 

Input voltage of 7–34V (2–8S) allows for direct power from the battery without the need for an external BEC. There is a 5V output available to power an analog camera. Adjusting output power, channel, and band is conveniently done via the flight controller using the Smart Audio protocol or via buttons on the video transmitter. M2 holes with a spacing of 20×20mm ensure easy mounting in the frame. The antenna connects via a robust MMCX connector.

Always connect the antenna before turning on the video transmitter. Operating without an antenna will cause irreversible damage to the output stage of the transmitter.
