Phynan Vision FT483 is a compact thermal camera with AI box designed for integration into smaller drones with analog image transmission. The camera uses a uncooled Vanadium Oxide sensor with a resolution of 400×300 pixels and a lens with a focal length of 7 mm. It offers a wide field of view of 68.8° diagonally. The camera uses the thermal palette "white hot", where warmer areas are white.
The camera output is a standard analog video signal CVBS (PAL), which can be directly connected to an analog video transmitter. The camera is powered by a voltage range of 9–24 V.
The camera supports control and configuration via UART, allowing adjustments for contrast, brightness, pseudocolors, shutter mode, or enabling Hot Tracking function. The manufacturer defines a command structure for advanced integration into control units (see manual). The camera also includes an OSD menu, which is controlled via an external joystick.
The camera has a width of 22 mm and features two M2 threads with a spacing of 6 mm, making it compatible with mounts for standard Mini-sized analog cameras. The camera is connected to the AI box via a MIPI cable. For easy mounting, the AI box has mounting holes with spacings of 20×20 mm M2 and 25.5×25.5 mm M2.
Cameras are designed for direct installation. They are supplied in simple technical packaging without a designer box.
