Pilotix F405 V3 + 60A AM32 is a flight controller and ESC combination suitable for powerful 5-7" freestyle and long-range drones powered by 3-6S LiPo batteries. The flight controller offers two analog camera inputs with in-flight switching.
The flight controller is based on an STM32F405 processor combined with an ICM42688 gyro. The integrated barometer is used for altitude measurement. A 16MB flash memory is available for blackbox logging. The board features an AT7456E OSD chip for analog video and a 6-pin connector for connecting DJI digital video transmitters. Jumpers on the board select the connector power supply: battery voltage (for 3-4S LiPo), or 9V for 6S batteries.
The board offers 5 UARTs, 8 motor outputs, an I2C connector for the compass in a GPS module, and pads for an LED strip and buzzer. Peripheral power is provided by 5V/2.5A and 9V/2.5A BECs. The 9V rail for the video transmitter is switchable via USER1 in Betaflight, which is useful in combination with GPS, allowing the video transmitter to be switched off while waiting for satellites. Switching between CAM1 and CAM2 cameras in flight is done via USER3. The board connects to a computer via USB-C and uses Betaflight firmware with the PILOTIXF405V3 target.
The ESC handles continuous current up to 60A per channel. It is based on an AT32F421 processor with AM32 firmware, supporting telemetry, bidirectional DShot for RPM filtering, and adjustable output PWM frequency. The ESC is equipped with a current sensor. The flight controller and ESC are connected by an 8-pin cable. Both boards have 30.5x30.5mm M3 mounting.
