Radiomaster TX16S MK3 Max ELRS Xross 868MHz/2.4GHz

Radiomaster TX16S MK3 Max is the flagship of Radiomaster transmitters, suitable even for the most demanding pilots. The main advantage of the TX16S MK3 Max is its large 5" touchscreen and dual-band Gemini ELRS module, which ensures maximum reliability for RC transmission.

The transmitter uses premium hall gimbals AG02 with four bearings, providing smooth operation, high precision, and long lifespan. The gimbals can be mechanically adjusted and have adjustable travel range and spring tension. Around the gimbals are RGB LED rings that can be controlled using LUA scripts. For additional model control, there are 8 switches, 2 knobs, 2 sliders, and one six-position channel controlled by buttons with adjustable LED backlighting. The radio setup is the same as other Radiomaster models using 6 buttons and a rotary knob, which are machined from aluminum in the Max variant.

At first glance, the mentioned 5" IPS touchscreen with a resolution of 480×800 pixels catches the eye. Thanks to its high brightness and wide viewing angle, the display is well readable even outdoors in sunlight. With the powerful STM32H7 processor, the transmitter has a fast response. The TX16S MK3 has 4GB of internal memory, which can be expanded with a microSD card. The radio uses fully adjustable firmware EdgeTX (the successor to OpenTX).

For future expansions, the transmitter is equipped with an integrated microphone. It also features a built-in gyro. The embedded gyroscope with TiltX/TiltY functions unlocks advanced control options – allowing switches to be activated, cameras to be rotated (pan/tilt), or telemetry messages to be activated simply by tilting the transmitter.

The internal ELRS transmission module uses two LR11211 chips, each capable of transmitting at frequencies of 2.4GHz or 868/915MHz at a power of up to 1W. The module can operate in Gemini modes at 2.4GHz or 915MHz, or in XROSSBAND mode, where one transmission chip transmits at 2.4GHz and the other at 868/915MHz (this function must also be supported by the receiver). Therefore, the Radiomaster TX16S MK3 Max provides high resistance to interference. It can also be used with standard ELRS receivers, which operate with a single antenna on one frequency. The radio is equipped with two antennas – one located on the top of the radio in an antenna bay and the second in a plastic handle. The module is actively cooled by a fan.

On the back of the transmitter, there is a standard JR bay for optional expansion with an external transmission module. The TX16S MK3 Max is powered by a pair of 18650 Li-Ion cells or 2S LiPo batteries. Battery charging is handled via a USB-C connector, which also serves for connection to a simulator and data transfer to the radio's memory. Thanks to the ELRS module, connection to the simulator is also possible wirelessly via Bluetooth.

Compared to the standard version, the TX16S MK3 Max boasts AG02 CNC gimbals made of anodized aluminum in red, black, blue, or gold, improved aluminum buttons, an aluminum rolling knob, leather grips on the back, and a case with a carbon look.
