Radiomaster TX16S MK3 Max ELRS Xross 868MHz/2.4GHz

Radiomaster TX16S MK3 Max is the flagship of Radiomaster transmitters, suitable for even the most demanding pilots. The main advantage of the TX16S MK3 Max is the large 5" touchscreen and the dual-band Gemini ELRS module, which ensures maximum reliability of the RC transmission.

The transmitter uses premium hall AG02 gimbals with four bearings, providing smooth operation, high precision, and long lifespan. The gimbals can be mechanically fine-tuned, and the range of motion and spring stiffness can be adjusted. Surrounding the gimbals are RGB LED rings that can be controlled via LUA scripts. For additional control of the model, there are 8 switches, 2 knobs, 2 sliders, and one six-position channel controlled by buttons with adjustable LED backlighting. The radio setup is the same as with other Radiomaster models, using 6 buttons and a rotary wheel, which are machined from aluminum in the Max variant.

At first glance, the aforementioned 5" touchscreen IPS display with a resolution of 480×800 pixels is striking. Thanks to the high brightness and wide viewing angle, the display is easily readable outdoors in sunlight. With a powerful STM32H7 processor, the transmitter has a fast response. The TX16S MK3 has internal memory that can be expanded with a microSD card. The radio uses fully adjustable firmware EdgeTX (successor to OpenTX).

For future expansion, the transmitter is equipped with an integrated microphone. It also includes a built-in gyro. The built-in gyroscope with TiltX/TiltY functions unlocks advanced control options – allowing for switch triggering, camera rotation (pan/tilt), or activating telemetry messages simply by tilting the transmitter.

The internal ELRS transmission module uses two LR11211 chips, each capable of transmitting at frequencies of 2.4GHz or 868/915MHz with a power output of up to 1W. The module can operate in Gemini modes at 2.4GHz or 915MHz, or in XROSSBAND mode, where one transmission chip sends at 2.4GHz and the other at 868/915MHz (the function must also be supported by the receiver). Thus, the Radiomaster TX16S MK3 Max offers high resistance to interference. It can also be used with standard ELRS receivers, which operate with one antenna on one frequency. The radio is equipped with two antennas – one is located on the top side of the radio in an antenna holder, and the other in the plastic handle. The module is actively cooled by a fan.

On the back side of the transmitter is a standard JR bay for optional expansion with an external transmission module. The TX16S MK3 Max is powered by a pair of 18650 Li-Ion cells or 2S LiPo batteries. Battery charging is done via a USB-C connector, which also serves for simulator connection and data transfer to the radio's memory. Thanks to the ELRS module, simulator connection is also possible wirelessly via Bluetooth.

Compared to the standard version, the TX16S MK3 Max features aluminum AG02 CNC gimbals in anodized red, black, blue, or gold colors, upgraded aluminum buttons, aluminum rolling wheel, leather grips on the back, and a case with a carbon look.
