ZD680 is a frame with a diagonal motor distance of 680mm designed for 15–17" propellers. The frame is suitable for building a test platform with ArduPilot firmware, providing ample space for placing sensors and other payloads. The frame is not suitable for building a classic freestyle FPV copter. A major advantage of the frame is its foldable arms, which ease the transportation of the drone.
The frame is made of a combination of carbon plates and tubes with a diameter of 20mm. Motors are mounted on carbon mounts at the end of the arms. The frame can be built in an X4 configuration. The center plates provide enough space for installing the flight controller, power supply, and other electronics. Underneath the drone is another carbon plate that serves as a universal platform for mounting any payload.
The bottom plate has standard mounting holes 30.5×30.5mm for easy attachment of the flight controller used on FPV drones. Mounting holes for the motors are 19–25mm M3.
ZD680 is suitable for pilots looking for a simple and versatile frame for building a larger quadcopter focused on stable flight.
