Runcam WebCam Nano is a miniature USB camera suitable for advanced drones with a microcomputer for image processing. It behaves like a regular webcam — it works according to the UVC standard, so Windows, Linux, Mac OS and Android recognize it without driver installation.

The camera can therefore be connected to a desktop computer as well as to Raspberry Pi and other single-board computers. This eliminates the need to deal with MIPI connectors, converters, and specific drivers for the given board. As a result, it is an easy way to get a quality FPV camera for onboard image processing on a drone or model, whether for recording, streaming, computer vision, or experimental projects.

Imaging is handled by a 2MPx sensor with a size of 1/2.8", an M8 lens, and 170° FOV. The maximum resolution is 1920x1080 at 30 FPS, and the image is available in MJPG and YUY2 formats. The camera supports WDR, automatic white balance, and noise reduction.

The camera dimensions are only 14x14x19 mm and the weight 2,5 g. It connects via the included cable through USB 2.0 Type-A, or directly using solder pads 5V, DM, DP and GND on the back of the board, which allows the wiring to be reduced to the absolute minimum. The supply voltage is 5V, and mounting is provided by M1.4 screw holes.
