S550 10"

S550 is an affordable hexacopter frame with a diagonal motor spacing of 55 cm, capable of accommodating up to 10" propellers. The frame is suitable for building a testing platform with ArduPilot firmware, providing ample space for mounting sensors and additional payload. The frame is not suitable for building a conventional freestyle FPV copter.

The frame is constructed from plastic arms that are reinforced with carbon tubes for increased rigidity. The bottom and top plates are made from printed circuit boards, with the bottom plate also acting as a power distribution board (PDB) for separate regulators. On the underside of the frame, there are two fiberglass tubes serving as a universal platform for mounting any payload. The frame utilizes carbon legs with a height of approximately 26 cm.

The mounting holes for the motors feature diagonal spacing of 16 × 19 mm or 19 × 25 mm. Thanks to the pre-made slots, a stack with varying hole spacings including 20 × 20 mm and 30.5 × 30.5 mm can be mounted on the bottom plate. The internal space height is approximately 18 mm.
