Heewing T1 Ranger Kit

Heewing T1 Ranger is a compact FPV airplane with a wingspan of 730 mm and a recommended take-off weight of 350–500 g. The construction is made of durable EPP foam that can be easily glued.

The front section has a dedicated space for an FPV camera and analog or digital video transmission. In the middle section, there is space for a battery and an optional flight controller. A suitable battery is 2–3S with a capacity of around 2000–2500 mAh or a 18650 Li-ion pack. For easy transport, the wings are removable. They are secured using locking mechanisms and connectors inside the fuselage. At the rear, a carbon tail boom is mounted in a sturdy holder, and the elevator is controlled by one servo. The connection for the elevator is designed as a sliding part. To enhance the durability of the tail surfaces, some pilots recommend adding a thin carbon strip to the rudder to better withstand contact with branches and bushes.

The T1 Ranger is beginner-friendly. In its basic setup, it flies stably and "holds its line", controlled only by ailerons and elevator. Due to its low weight, it is more sensitive to wind, making it ideal for flying in calm conditions.

The model is suitable for both pure manual line-of-sight flying and for equipping with a flight controller and FPV transmission. Thanks to the pre-drilled holes and the wooden mounting plate, the flight controller can be easily secured, and GPS and other sensors can be additionally added.

On a 2S battery, the T1 Ranger behaves more calmly and is suitable for first flights and slower approaches for landing. A 3S battery provides higher speed and a longer climb at full throttle but requires a longer landing strip and more precise control. A typical 3S 2200–2650 mAh battery will allow for approximately 10–15 minutes of flight while cruising; during economical flight, it can reach around 20 minutes.

The model is in KIT form—this means it is only an EPP airframe without a motor, servos, and other electronics. Recommended parts: a motor size of 1404–1406 3100–3700 Kv, three 7g servos, and 3–4" propellers.
